After travelling around Canada for the last two weeks one of the things that always helps me on fast paced trips is to plan what I’m going to wear when packing for the trip. It speeds things up when you’re getting ready in the morning as you know immediately what t-shirts/jeans you planned to wear with which jacket and so on. It’s also a good idea to pack versatile pieces that are easily paired with other items too. The great thing about travelling in Autumn (my favourite season) is that you get to layer up your clothes big time (also my favourite). Handily nature is doing it’s thing and creating an awesome backdrop for blog posts. We found the back drop to this post on Mont Royal in Montréal. It was a really rainy day but the wet weather made the colours of the trees and leaves pop, creating the perfect colour pallet ready to snap this coat and boots. The coat itself is by Casely-Hayford, a father-son tailoring duo from London who create signature styles with modern patterns and fabrics. It’s that perfect timeless piece which would allow you to bring it out year after year. I’d also like to give a special mention to these Saint Laurent boots, I’ve had my eye on them for a while now. They are definitely an investment piece, but again a style that won’t go out of fashion. I managed to find both of these pieces on Mr Porter, it’s a great place to look for current trends and is has an awesome curation of brands that you might not find anywhere else. I’ve really enjoyed finding these go to pieces that are going to get a lot of wear year after year.
Have you found any awesome Autumn back drops recently?
Special Thanks to Ben Brown for shooting these images of me!
